Penalty for unlawful windmill

Every person who shall erect, locate, or run any windmill within twenty-five (25) rods of any traveled street or road shall be fined for every offense not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500) nor less than one hundred dollars ($100), one-half (1/2) inuring to the use of the city or town where the offense shall have been committed and one-half (1/2) to the use of the state.

Fees payable to court administrator

Allocation. (a) In all cases prosecuted in district court by an attorney for a municipality or other subdivision of government within the county for violations of state statute, or of an ordinance; or charter provision, rule, or regulation of a city; all fines, penalties, and forfeitures collected shall be deposited in the state treasury and distributed according to this paragraph. For the purpose of this section, the county attorney shall be considered the attorney for any town in which a violation occurs.

Defendants who plead guilty or who are convicted under this article shall be required to serve their sentences in such manner as is provided for by law in misdemeanor cases. In case a fine is imposed and paid, the officers of court, where on fee basis, shall first be paid their costs arising in such case.

Court Costs

The prosecuting attorney may assess court costs against the defendant for the dismissal of criminal warrants when the affiant is not a peace officer. Any fee collected under this subsection shall be made payable to the general fund of the political subdivision in which the case is being prosecuted.

Classification as Super Speeder; Fees

(b)  In addition to any other fines or penalties imposed by any local jurisdiction or the department, the department shall administer and collect a fee of $200.00 from any driver who is convicted of driving at a speed of 85 miles per hour or more on any road or highway or 75 miles per hour or more on any two-lane road or highway, as defined in Code Section 40-6-187.

(j) Any person whose vehicle does not display a valid, special registration plate or removable windshield placard may not stop, stand or park a motor vehicle in an area designated, zoned or marked for accessible parking with signs or instructions displaying the international symbol of access, either by itself or with explanatory text. The signs may be mounted on a post or a wall in front of the accessible parking space and instructions may appear on the ground or pavement, but use of both methods is preferred.
