Money paid on judgment; disposition

(1) Any money paid to the justice court upon a judgment in a criminal action shall first be applied to the costs of the action. The remainder shall be paid by the justice court to the treasurer of the county, to be appropriated as provided by law.
(2) Money paid pursuant to subsection (1) of this section shall be delivered by the justice court to the treasurer not later than the last day of the month immediately following the month in which the money is collected.

Collection of offender fines and fees assessed by the court; collection assistance fee

(d) The court shall retain a collection assistance fee in the amount of ten percent (10%) of any cost or fee collected by the Department pursuant to this Article or Chapter 20 of the General Statutes and remitted to an agency of the State or any of its political subdivisions, other than a cost or fee listed in this subsection. The court shall remit the collection assistance fee to the State Treasurer for the support of the General Court of Justice.

Operation; record; authentication

The district court of each county shall keep a record containing orders entered by the court. Orders made orally by the court shall be entered upon the record by the district court clerk. The district judge shall review and sign the record following each term of the court, but if, for any cause, the district judge fails to sign the record, the district court clerk may certify the record as authentic.

Drug court fees; fund created

A. In addition to any other fees collected in the district court, a district court that has established an adult drug court may assess and collect from participants a “drug court fee” of fifty dollars ($50.00) a month. Program fee requirements may be satisfied by community service at the federal minimum wage.

F. Any person violating any provision of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100), or by imprisonment in the county jail not less than five days nor more than thirty days or by both such fine and imprisonment, and the operator and the owner of such vehicle, truck, tractor or engine from whom the driver or operator has permitted possession at the time thereof shall be jointly and severally liable to the state, county or municipality as the case may be fo

Supreme Court Attorney Services Cash Fund; created; use; investment

The Supreme Court Attorney Services Cash Fund is created. The fund shall be under the control of the Supreme Court and administered by the State Court Administrator. The fund shall consist of mandatory assessments and fees, grants, donations, and gifts. The fund shall be used for expenses related to regulation of the practice of law in Nebraska. Any money in the fund available for investment shall be invested by the state investment officer pursuant to the Nebraska Capital Expansion Act and the Nebraska State Funds Investment Act.
