An additional filing fee of $100 shall be required for a petition for accelerated review by the Supreme Court. A filing fee of $550 shall be paid to the clerk of the appellate courts upon the filing of a petition for permission to appeal. A filing fee of $100 shall be paid to the clerk of the appellate courts upon the filing by a respondent of a notice of review. The clerk shall transmit the fees to the commissioner of management and budget for deposit in the state treasury and credit to the general fund.

Except where a different disposition is provided by section 299D.03, subdivision 5, or other law, on or before the last day of each month, the court shall pay over all fines, penalties, and forfeitures collected by the court administrator during the previous month as follows:
(1) for offenses committed within the city of St. Paul, two-thirds paid to the treasurer of the city of St. Paul and one-third credited to the state general fund; and (2) for offenses committed within any other municipality or subdivision of government within Ramsey County, one-half paid to the treasurer of the municipality or subdivision of government and one-half credited to the state general fund. All other fines, penalties, and forfeitures collected by the district court shall be distributed by the courts as provided by law. (b) Fines, penalties, and forfeitures shall be distributed as provided in paragraph (a) when: (1) a city contracts with the county attorney for prosecutorial services under section 484.87, subdivision 3; or (2) the attorney general provides assistance to the city attorney under section 484.87, subdivision 5. Collection of fees. The court administrator of district court shall charge and collect all fees as prescribed by law and all such fees collected by the court administrator as court administrator of district court shall be paid to the Department of Management and Budget. Magistrate court clerks or circuit clerks acting in that capacity, subject to the rules and regulations of the supreme court of appeals, may establish and maintain interest-bearing checking accounts in secure and properly insured financial institutions for the deposit and disbursement of all moneys collected by the magistrate court. In addition to making other remittances as required by law, the clerk of each magistrate court shall, on a monthly basis, remit all interest earned on such accounts to the state treasurer for deposit in the state general revenue fund.
